I am writing to spread the info through a precise inspection on the incident. If it's wrong, correct me, or add up more precise details. If my friends could be available to use English, feel free, for it is the one and only way to step out. Here I am calling people who wish to do something more than "endure" it just as the government "suggested". Nonsense opinions and crap talks, fuck off.
----
1.Before the match, it is certain that the electronic socks has been approved in the pre-bout inspection, and also, the electronic socks is the exact kind of equipment authorized by WTF. (later on, as Taiwanese press asked them about this issue, they rejected to answer it by saying "it's a personal privacy." Also another rejection to ask the pre-bout inspector to meet them.)
2.As several reports mentioned the sensors, one of them is from BBC news, and the other one is from the Chinese official website of Asian Olympic Game.
However, at the very first beginning of the equipment check, the judge doubted the "sensors" of the socks, asked Yang to remove it immediately. (which the video shows "as clear as possible.")
- "The World Taekwondo Federation defended its decision, saying the extra sensors had been removed from Ms Yang's socks before the match, but had been fixed back on."
- 2. On the official websites of Asian Olympics:
However, at the very first beginning of the equipment check, the judge doubted the "sensors" of the socks, asked Yang to remove it immediately. (which the video shows "as clear as possible.")
Chinese version:
- 1:45 Both sides started testing the sensors by kicking
- 2:10 The bald judge got the direction and asked Yang to remove the 2 sensors
- 2:28 Yang is accompanied by the bald judge to remove the sensors off the stage
- 2:46 We could clearly see her couch Liu has removed the sensors and dropped it off under the chair
- 3:06 Game started.
- 5:44 The suit guy with the glasses saw Yang's legs
- 6:28 The suit guy asked the bald guy to take the 2 sensors
It's is totally not the truth as the World Taekwondo Federation claimed on BBC news, and definitely not the cases as the Chinese described. There is no doubt extremely insulting movement they've done to pass out the wrong info throughout the world.
English version:
3.As the rules of WTF, if the equipment is not qualified, the judge could ask them to change; the judge could pause the game, wait for players to change the equipment. If this effects the game, the played could be given a warning. "IF THIS IS VERY SERIOUS, DEDUCT 1 POINT FOR PUNISHMENT."
It is absolutely ridiculous to drop out Yang from the game throughout the history. Not to mention Yang has been leading the game by 9:0.
4.Every equipment has been passed by checking 3 times with the signatures on it.
5.After the match, the manufacture of the electronic socks (1 of the 5 manufactures in the world) said "it is nothing wrong with the equipment, and it is definitely recognized by the WTF" to confirm the validity of the socks.
Although as a "vague country" for decades, Taiwan has still struggled towards a brighter future, hoping for one day we could be seriously looked upon. Although we are not rich enough and powerful enough to compete with them, we believe that "soft powers" could be cultivated by training ourselves in sports, art, and other ways. Although we do not do well on everything, we know how to "respect".
As soon as I heard our government claimed that we should "endure" it, I soon realize, "Is it hard to explain why we always stand in a lower position among other countries? I don't think so."
